Carlos Cuesta

Program Director

Carlos Cuesta serves different roles at Arrowhead Center, he is the Program Director for the Nusenda Fintech Lab, a program seeking to establish a center of financial technological innovations in the Southwest region. Carlos is also the Program Director of Studio G, a program that aims to provide a platform for the next generation of entrepreneurs to gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and resources that will help them launch and grow their ventures.  He also serves as an associate for the Arrowhead Innovation Fund and Audaz Capital, a seed fund that focuses on early-stage growth companies and a series A fund that seeks to invest in companies that further improve social mobility in our region, respectively. Overall, he serves the role of Economic Development Officer at the Arrowhead Center. Carlos holds a master’s degree in Business administration with a Finance concentration, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from New Mexico State University. In 2019 he was awarded the highest honors in the College of Business, he also represented NMSU in the Regional CFA Research Challenge in 2020. Carlos has the following certifications: “Fintech Certification” from the University of Chicago, “Start-Up Lean Methodologies” from LeanStack, and a “Cap Table Certification” from Foresight.  Carlos Cuesta: carlosic@nmsu.edu

Shasta Younker

Program Coordinator

Shasta Younker is a Senior Program Specialist at Arrowhead Center, where she has been working for the past three years. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and enjoys helping students launch their business ideas. She graduated from NMSU in 2010 with a Master's degree in Agricultural Business. In addition to her work at Arrowhead Center, she is also involved in student-led programs and provides guidance to students to help them succeed in their ventures.
