Dana DeRego Catron

NM CERG Project Director and PI

Dana serves as the Project Director and PI for NM CERG, where she oversees the management and execution of Arrowhead’s DOE-funded EPIC grant, NM CERG cluster development and expansion, and activities tied to the cluster. Dana has extensive experience designing, funding, and managing technical projects, grants, and contracts, and will bring this experience to NM CERG. Dana received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Washington State University and a master’s and Ph.D. (in progress) in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from NMSU.

Del Mackey

Del Mackey

NM CERG Project Manager

Del serves as the Project Manager for NM CERG, where he oversees the management of the NM CERG cluster and activities tied to SBIR/STTR assistance and patent protection curriculum development. Del has extensive experience in technical project management, development of training curriculum, and design of process workflows and project outcome alignment. Del will bring this experience to NM CERG. Del received his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from National University and an MBA from NMSU.

Carlos Murguia

Carlos Murguia

NM CERG Innovation Lead

Carlos serves as the Innovation Lead for NM CERG, where he oversees the management and execution of FIX, the rapid prototyping and design assistance module; and of the Investment Preparedness Training Course. Carlos has extensive experience managing the evaluation, design and testing of prototypes and 3D Printing Services;  he also serves as the Associate Fund Manager for the Arrowhead Innovation Fund, a venture capital fund focused on seed and early-stage investments. Carlos holds a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Mexico’s Technology Institute a master’s and in Industrial Engineering from NMSU. He is also an HBCUvc fellow and a board member of the NM Angels.

NM CERG Project Coordinator

Aaron serves as the Project Coordinator for NM CERG, focusing on coordination, communication, and outreach activities for the cluster. For this role, Aaron relies on his extensive experience in event planning, program management, and logistics coordination for efforts that serve the small business community. He received his bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management and a Master of Business Administration from NMSU.

Blanca Martinez

Blanca Martinez

NM CERG Graduate Assistant

Blanca serves as the NM CERG Graduate Assistant, where she oversees the graphic design and marketing for NM CERG. Blanca has graduated from NMSU with her bachelor’s in graphic design and is currently obtaining her MFA through NMSU. Blanca has gained her experience in graphic design and marketing through the Arrowhead Center’s programs such as Innoventure, Studio G as well as conferences such as WE Mean Business.
