Agencies
Though eleven federal agencies (twelve departments) participate in the SBIR program (five participate in the STTR program), there is considerable variation among areas such as research focus, proposal preparation requirements, funding levels, and periods of performance. This can be confusing to applicants as innovations can typically fit with multiple agencies.
NM FAST has created information pages for each of the participating agencies to help clarify the proposal process and priorities for each. On each agency page, you will find information about their mission, funding levels, additional/supplemental funding, and other key drivers for that agency’s SBIR/STTR programs. You will also find a link to resources for that agency (e.g. proposal templates, compliance matrices, checklists, and quick-start guides).
