The Center for Border Economic Development and Arrowhead Center at New Mexico State University has prepared an analysis of the economic impact of Spaceport America’s operations and activities. The purpose of this analysis is to estimate the economic impact of Spaceport America’s operations, tenant operations, and associated visitor spending in New Mexico in 2022. Spaceport America is the first purpose-built commercial spaceport and is operated by the New Mexico Spaceport Authority (NMSA). Spaceport America is located in southern New Mexico on approximately 18,000 acres of State Trust Land leased from the New Mexico State Land Office.
