We are also the technology transfer and commercialization arm of NMSU, working with campus inventors and innovators to protect their work and ensure it reaches the broadest possible markets.

Located on the campus of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, we are active in the Arrowhead Research Park community and seek to work with our tenant partners to pioneer and grow new technologies, businesses, and partnerships, as well as engaging tenants in “paying it forward” through providing advice, mentorship,  and hands-on experiences to our NMSU and DACC students.  We hope you’ll join us in the great adventure that is Arrowhead Center!

Development and Business Financing Incentives

In today’s environment for real estate development and financing, generating an acceptable return on equity can be challenging.  Arrowhead Park can assist in overcoming this challenge through its eligibility for a range of investment incentives including EB-5 financing, New Market Tax Credits, New Mexico LEDA (Local Economic Development Incentive funds), and the most recent enactment of the Opportunity Zone Tax Incentives.   As Arrowhead Park also qualifies as a “rural” site, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Loan Guarantee program may also be utilized.

While each of these have their own specific advantages and requirements for the investor, it is also possible in New Mexico for developers and investors to “stack” these incentives to gain the greatest return possible.

Depending on the business your investment is designed to support, there are also a range of industry-specific incentives and credits provided by the State of New Mexico. Our regional representative for the New Mexico Department of Economic Development, Christine Logan, is available to assist you with understanding and packaging all of these to the benefit of your project.

The links below also provide a great deal of useful information to help you sort through the opportunities.  Please contact us (see Contact link on this website) to learn more.

Arrowhead Park looks forward to working with you to make the greatest possible use of these incentives in locating your business here!

Las Cruces and the Mesilla Valley

Rich in history, culture and hospitality, our city is nestled in the Mesilla Valley against the dramatic backdrop of the Organ Mountains. 340 days of sunshine a year means you can enjoy our local activities, attractions and festivals throughout the year.

Las Cruces’ colorful past blends with its beautiful scenery of wide open spaces and breathtaking sunsets in a relaxing atmosphere and culture. Visit Historic Old Mesilla, the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, or the sparkling white dunes of White Sands National Monument. Our valley is home to the new Organ Mountains – Desert Peaks National Monument, as well as the Mesilla Valley Wine Trail.  Numerous national forest and wilderness areas, along with skiing at Sierra Blanca, provide limitless outdoor recreational opportunities.   Of course, southern New Mexico is the chile capital of the world and boasts the best New Mexican food in the country!
