NMSU’s Scale Up NM, NM Angels partner to host 2024 TechSprint accelerators

The Scale Up New Mexico program, funded in part by the United States Economic Development Administration and housed at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center, has partnered with New Mexico Angels for TechSprint accelerator programs in 2024.

Scale Up NM provides a comprehensive suite of support programs for startups in the early stages of development. This initiative expands upon existing Arrowhead Center projects, including Sprint business accelerators, assistance with Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer and support for commercialization. The goals are to create more successful New Mexico-based businesses and generate more local, high-paying jobs.

This strategic partnership aims to provide invaluable opportunities for startup founders by facilitating direct access to angel investors and mentors in New Mexico. Scale Up NM recognizes the pivotal role that angel investors play in the success of early-stage startups and high-growth companies.

By partnering with New Mexico Angels, the program is enhancing its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. This partnership will offer participating startups unprecedented access to mentorship, advice and potential funding opportunities. Scale Up NM aims to create a dynamic environment where collaboration between startups and seasoned investors flourishes, ultimately increasing the likelihood of successful fundraising efforts.

To qualify for TechSprint, startups must be based in New Mexico or have plans to move to New Mexico. Participants should also be available to attend a weekly two-hour virtual session for the duration of the cohort, and to meet and work on technology-based innovation.

The TechSprint agenda for 2024 promises an exciting lineup of diverse themes and networking.
