NMSU project gets $900,000 grant

WASHINGTON — New Mexico State University has been awarded $900,000 from the U.S. Commerce Department to improve infrastructure at the Arrowhead Business and Research Park. The funding will be used to build an access road and to develop water, sewer, natural gas, electricity and communications infrastructure at the business park. The money will come from the Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration. "The Arrowhead Business and Research Park continues to grow," Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M. said. "This grant is a major investment in Las Cruces, and will enhance the area's ability to attract hundreds of new jobs."
