Dr. Kevin Boberg
Vice President for Economic Development
Dr. Kevin Boberg earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and business administration, a master’s degree in industrial administrative sciences at Iowa State University, and his doctorate in business logistics at Pennsylvania State University. He has been the director and/or assistant director of the Center for Economic Development Research and Assistance (funded by the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce) and the International Business Facilitation Center.

Director and Chief Executive Officer
Kathryn Hansen, Arrowhead Center’s Director and Chief Executive Officer, has extensive experience in management of programs and in business and technology development. She has managed large technology development contracts for both the private and public sector. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has served NMSU for over 25 years in several positions, including Co-Director of the Aerospace and Autonomous Systems Laboratory and Business Development Director for the Physical Science Laboratory. Kathy’s latest hobby is running – during this last year she ran the 10K at Leadville and the ½ marathon at Disneyworld.

Dana DeRego Catron
Arrowhead Center Program Manager
Dana DeRego Catron serves as an Arrowhead Center Program Coordinator, focused on running the NM FAST program, research and writing. Based in Santa Fe, Dana serves as Arrowhead’s northern NM liaison, representing Arrowhead at events and meetings. Dana is active in the Santa Fe community, serving as an event committee member for the Food Depot and as a swim club coach. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Washington State University, a Master’s degree in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from NMSU, and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from NMSU.

Economic Development Officer
Erika Dunn has earned both her Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in Education at NMSU. She assists with educational programming at Arrowhead Center, including: Innoventure, Camp Innoventure, the Entrepreneurship Laboratory, and Studio G. She is also a middle school Language Arts teacher in the Albuquerque Public School district.

Program Manager of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer
Gina Duttle serves as the Program Manager of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for the Arrowhead Center. Her primary responsibilities include managing Invention Disclosures, Patent Applications, Legal Fees, and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs). Gina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from New Mexico Highlands University.

Resident Manager at the Genesis Center
Paula Garcia is the resident manager at the Genesis Center. She holds down the fort and is an excellent friendly face for visitors to our buildings. She received her Associate degree in General Studies in 2011 from Dona Ana Community College, and is currently working on her Associate degree in Criminal Justice. Paula enjoys spending time with her family, and especially going to her granddaughter’s athletic events. As if she wasn’t already busy enough, Paula also actively volunteers in various Las Cruces community events, including TWEF, Toys for Tots, Gus Macker 3 on 3 basketball tournament and the Mariachi Mass.

Dr. Lauren Goldstein
Dr. Lauren Goldstein serves as an Arrowhead Center Technical Writer and Research Analyst, focusing on grants, program development and support, and administration. She collaborates with colleagues from all branches of Arrowhead Center on these efforts. Lauren taught a variety of creative-critical university courses for 12 years—as both a graduate student at Virginia Tech and NMSU and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Creighton University—before she joined Arrowhead in 2016. Outside of work, she is driven by wanderlust and travels as much as possible with her partner. Lauren earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Virginia Tech and her PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from NMSU.

Lydia Hammond serves at the Program Coordinator with the trio of Innoventure Programs. Innoventure Jr, Camp Innoventure, and Innoventure Core are the primary programs she works with. Senior Graphic Designer and Visual Communications Leader
Peter Knapp is Arrowhead Center’s Senior Graphic Designer and Visual Communications Leader. He develops and implements brand identity strategies, website development, print layout, and design conceptualization. He earned his bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Graphic Design from NMSU and has over ten years of experience. Mr. Knapp is an advocate for branding and identity and creating a mark that will give the final product an original look with creativity and sophistication.

Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for the Arrowhead Center
Terry Lombard serves as the Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for the Arrowhead Center. Her primary responsibilities include Intellectual property protection and management of a portfolio of early stage University developed technology, research and intellectual property; screening invention disclosures; assessing commercial potential and marketability; formulating intellectual property protection strategies; evaluation of invention and marketing to industry; and preparing, negotiating, administrating intellectual property licensing agreements and direction and management of the commercialization accelerator program LAUNCH. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics at NMSU and a Master’s of Business Administration with specializations in Quantitative Decision Modeling and Strategic Management from Chapman University in Orange, California. She also holds minors in Psychology and Human Resource Management and Development.

Kristin Morehead manages the Arrowhead Innovation Network and the AIN Ventures program, assisting with research, production and implementation of projects, partnerships and initiatives conducted through Arrowhead that support entrepreneurship. She also oversees NMSU’s role in the New Mexico Small Business (NSMBA) Program, in partnership with Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. Kristin holds a Master’s in Anthropology, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from NMSU.

Zetdi Runyan Sloan
Director of Technology Incubator
Zetdi Runyan Sloan serves as the Director for the Technology Incubator. She is responsible for overall incubator operations, including the development and implementation of business support programs to help start-up businesses maximize growth and success. Zetdi also serves as the Arrowhead Innovation Network Coordinator, creating ecosystems that link inventors, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors. She is a Board Member for the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce, Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico, and the Las Cruces Young Professionals. She earned a BA in Mass Communication and Journalism from NMSU, a Masters of International Business Certification from Université d’Angers, Angers, France and an MBA from NMSU.

Wayne L. Savage
Executive Director of Arrowhead Park
Wayne is a 1980 graduate of NMSU’s Industrial Engineering program, and a 1994 NMSU Ingeniero Imminente awardee. He has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, high purity gas and chemical production, economic development consulting, and construction management. Returning home to New Mexico in 2007, Wayne has served in a variety of capacities contributing to the successful startup of Spaceport America and the growing commercial space industry, having represented both the New Mexico Spaceport Authority and client/tenant interests.
Wayne chaired the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce Commercial Space Committee for four years and remains active in reaching out to the industry and others to attract new companies to our community.
Raised in Las Cruces, and married to his high school sweetheart, Wayne and Teresa (head of the Orchestra program at Camino Real Middle School) have four kids, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and plans to see and camp in more of New Mexico’s great outdoors in the coming years.

Dr. Kramer Winingham
Director of Studio G
Dr. Kramer Winingham serves as a Program Director for Arrowhead Center and is the Director of NMSU’s National Science Foundation I-Corps Site and Director of Studio G – NMSU’s Student Business Accelerator. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with specializations in Finance and Information Systems, and a Doctorate of Economic Development from NMSU. His doctoral thesis “Economic Development through Technology Transfer” developed a novel approach to technology transfer incorporating design thinking – this approach is applied to commercializing NMSU technologies at the Arrowhead Center. He currently serves as CEO/President for two companies commercializing technologies. He also owns and operates a property management company.
