The Foster Innovation Exchange (FIX) is a space where innovative, entrepreneurial student and community-based projects are cultivated, connections are made, and partnerships are forged. FIX is an environment where researchers, students, industry, government, and community can come together to address challenges facing the Borderplex region. FIX has two flagship programs: Product Design Awards and Community Entrepreneurship Partnerships.
FIX Product Design Awards
The FIX Product Design Awards offer the opportunity for inventors and entrepreneurs in the Borderplex region to apply for assistance with CAD modeling, microelectronics design, prototyping, and manufacturing for physical products. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Product Design assistance is provided by the FIX Prototyping Lab and a team of students and staff with experience in product design, microelectronics and prototyping.
Foster Community Entrepreneurship Partnership
Arrowhead is committed to making entrepreneurship accessible to all – particularly groups who traditionally have fewer opportunities to launch their own ventures. Foster Community Entrepreneurship Partnerships will focus on two populations: women and armed services veterans. By teaming Arrowhead staff and programs with community-based partners for outreach and delivery efforts, this program will strive to increase the number of women-and-veteran led businesses in the Borderplex region.
