Entrepreneurship

The Arrowhead Center is a vibrant entrepreneurial environment where the University, the community and the State can collaborate. The Arrowhead Center has three primary focuses for entrepreneurship: 1) Business Assistance 2) Education and 3) Outreach.

Business Assistance is provided by offering consulting expertise to those-in-need, whether for new entrepreneurial endeavors or business expansions. Business assistance can take the form of business plans, marketing studies, feasibility studies, financial analysis, industry analyses, and similar services. The Arrowhead Center provides these services through Student Innovation Teams which are comprised of Graduate students stemming from various educational backgrounds. Each Team works closely with their client to conduct research specific to their client’s needs.

The Arrowhead Center offers state-wide business assistance through its partnership with NMSU Cooperative Extension Service. Arrowhead provides focused workshops and training for entrepreneurs as well as workshops for small business that hone the necessary skills to compete in an increasingly competitive environment.

For New Mexico entities that have an innovative idea in the areas of business, engineering, science, or technology, the Arrowhead Center can assist the organization to develop an entrepreneurial business. Arrowhead can be a resource by exploring the potential commercialization of technologies and products, formalizing business plans to make them more attractive to potential investors, and introducing possible sources of funding.
